Packaging That's Plastic-Free and

Compostable

From solid bars to home-compostable tubes, every item is designed to avoid plastic entirely. Our paperboard is certified compostable and made with veggie-based linings. Labels are tree-free (made from sugarcane) and use compostable adhesive.

Our Shipping Practices are

Sustainable

We ship every order plastic-free using recyclable or compostable materials. Whenever possible, we reuse clean packing materials from inbound shipments to reduce our footprint even further.

Yes! Our tubes, boxes, and labels break down in a home compost system—no industrial facilities required.

We vet every supplier for labor standards, environmental impact, and transparency. Most of our ingredients are sourced from U.S. companies to reduce emissions and improve traceability.

Bioplastics still behave like conventional plastic in many systems and can harm compost. We only use materials that are safe for home composting or recycling.

Yes! We are PETA-certified vegan, and Leaping Bunny-certified cruelty-free.

Absolutely! It's incredibly important to us to be a completely plastic-free company. We make sure all of our packaging can be recycled, composted, and reused.

We get it. Greenwashing is everywhere, and skepticism is valid. But at Simple Alchemy Co., sustainability isn’t a marketing angle; it’s our core reason for existing. We’re a queer, disabled team who started this company because we couldn’t find products that aligned with our ethics. Every decision we make—from sourcing to packaging to how we talk about our impact—is guided by a deep commitment to fairness, transparency, and collective care. We believe honesty is a form of justice, and misleading people, especially in the name of sustainability, just isn’t something we could live with.
